Die alttestamentlichen Zitate im Hebräerbrief stellen ein gleichermaßen reizvolles wie komplexes Untersuchungssujet dar, in dem die Frage nach der Textform dieser Zitate eine besonders hohe Bedeutung sowohl für die Rekonstruktion des neutestamentlichen Textes wie auch für die Textgeschichte der Septuaginta besitzt. Die Aufsätze des vorliegenden Sammelbandes stellen sich dieser Fragestellung aus je eigener Perspektive aber mit stetem Bezug zur engen Verbindung von neutestamentlichem Text und alttestamentlicher Vorlage, für welche die Zitattexte des Hebräerbriefes ein wichtiges textgeschichtliches Zeugnis darstellen. Die Forschungen stehen im Zusammenhang des von der DFG geförderten Projektes "Septuagintazitate im Neuen Testament". Die vorliegenden Beiträge gehen zurück auf Vorträge im Rahmen eines Workshops am Institut für Septuaginta und biblische Textforschung (ISBTF) der Kirchlichen Hochschule Wuppertal im März 2021.

Ben Sira is properly regarded as one of the most significant representatives of Jewish wisdom literature. Georg Sauer, the renowned Viennese Old Testament scholar, addresses the many sides of these scriptural writings in the present volume. He explores text-immanent questions regarding the structure, content, and theological meaning of Ben Sira s book in consideration of evidence from Hebrew and Greek texts. Diese Untersuchung bietet eine Gesamtdarstellung der Ausgrabungen und Forschungen zu Taanach/Tell Ta'annek (in Israel/Palastina) mit Neuedition und deutscher UEbersetzung der Taanach-Texte, Analyse der Keramik und wichtiger Einzelfunde (Kultstander, Rollsiegel). Die von Ernst Sellin, damals Wien, von 1902 bis 1904 durchgefuhrte und bereits 1904 und 1906 publizierte Ausgrabung in Taanach war eine der ersten im damaligen Palastina und ein Meilenstein der biblischen Archaologie. Die amerikanischen Ausgrabungen unter Paul W. Lapp von 1964 bis 1968 prazisierten und erweiterten die Erkenntnisse und erbrachten weitere Einzelfunde und Texte. Der Band dokumentiert und wurdigt die bisherige Forschung zu Taanach und fuhrt sie durch neue Beitrage weiter.
